Genius Detective

After eating Mala spicy soup, Chen Shi’s lips were very red from the spiciness. Lin Dongxue looked at him with a look of disdain. Chen Shi teased, “I know I’m handsome but you don’t have to stare at me the whole time, right?”

Lin Dongxue smacked him and lectured, “You know how afraid I was at the restaurant? I was very worried that she…” She then glanced at Gao Xiaohui in the back seat. “I was afraid that the suspect would run!”

On the road back to the station, Lin Dongxue received three calls to urge her to get back faster. Lin Qiupu was afraid that there would be any changes on her end.

Go to the interrogation room and talk!”

Chen Shi was also happy and pointed towards the car, “Maybe you need to get a pair of glasses, Captain Lin. There’s still someone in the car. Could you not see them or something?”

Lin Dongxue’s face went red from all the praise while Lin Qiupu was stunned. He turned to Lin Dongxue, “How could you not listen to the commands and act without authorization?”

“One time is enough, wait for the punishment!” Lin Qiupu stated with a serious face.

“Well, the rest of the things you deal with yourself, but quickly take her away. I have to work!” Chen Shi opened the door to his car. “Oh yeah, I need a person to inform me in advance if I need to take the stand as a witness. I am very busy.”

After Chen Shi left, Lin Qiupu listened to the recordings on the scene. The truth of the case was completely unexpected to him. However, he did not understand one thing. He asked Lin Dongxue, “Didn’t that guy say that he only helped a little bit? Why is he the only one talking in the recording? Who exactly was helping who?”

Lin Dongxue was too embarrassed to hide it. “If I tell you, you have to believe me. This case was basically solved by him alone.”

“Him? A taxi driver?” Lin Qiupu was shocked for a long time.

Gao Xiaohui confessed to the case and the evidence was confirmed. Lin Qiupu was able to hand the case over and get started on the legal proceedings very quickly. The media reported the case to the outside world. They used the eye-catching title of ‘Love Torn Apart Incurred Killing intent’, ‘BFF schemed to hurt BFF’. Of course, it did not mention the name of Chen Shi, but mentioned that they solved the case ‘with the help of a kind citizen.’

Lin Dongxue received commendation from the bureau because of her great merits. Although this was the first time in her life receiving honor like this, Lin Dongxue felt guilty as she held the award.

After the commendation ceremony, Lin Qiupu wore a darkened expression. “Come to my office.”

After entering the office of Lin Qiupu, Lin Dongxue gave a salute. “Captain, is it necessary to give me disciplinary action for acting without authorization?”

“Disciplinary action? Why, you have made great achievements. The police chief has even given you an award. If I were to punish you, won’t people say that I’m being petty?”

“Then why are you looking for me?”

“Is he as handsome as you?”
