Practicing Gratitude: 30 things I am grateful for

Grace Time

Lately, I have been trying to practice more gratitude so that I feel less entitled. I had wanted to make a list of 100 things, but it turned out to be harder than I thought. As a result, I decided on 50. But even 50 was difficult. I realized a lot of the things I listed were due to technological advances and the internet. So, I have simply shortened it down to 30.

  1. I can see
  2. I can hear
  3. I can talk
  4. I can read
  5. I can smell
  6. I can taste
  7. I can walk
  8. I can type
  9. I can sing
  10. I can breathe
  11. I have internet
  12. I have A/C
  13. I don’t have to go hungry or worry about survival
  14. I have access to clean water
  15. I have a flushing toilet
  16. I have electricity
  17. I have a roof over my head
  18. I can work online on a flexible schedule
  19. I have a smartphone
  20. I know Chinese and English
  21. I have people who love and care about me/I care about

  24. I have rights and freedoms
  25. I have a laptop (it allows me to work anywhere as long as there is wifi, a charger and seating)

Sometimes, writing it out makes us realize how blessed we are. Without the internet, our lives would be so different. There are so many things we take for granted!
